ADHD & Autism Evaluations for Adults in Michigan

Neurodiversity-affirming. Strengths-based.

Centered on your lived experience.

Some people come into this process with a strong sense that they’re autistic, have ADHD, or both, seeking validation, documentation, or support that aligns with what they already know. Others are still on a journey of discovery, trying to make sense of patterns or wondering if there’s a name for experiences that have long felt confusing or misunderstood.

Wherever you’re starting from, you’re welcome here.

You don’t need to have everything figured out to take that first step. My role is to offer a process that is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in genuine respect. Whether you’re searching for answers, reassurance, or just a place to begin, I will walk alongside you every step of the way.

What an Evaluation Can Offer

My goal is to help you better understand yourself on your own terms. Getting a diagnosis can be a meaningful step if you want to:

$

Make sense of long-standing patterns or challenges.

$

Explore tools and strategies that actually work for your brain.

$

Strengthen your relationships and self-trust.

$

Navigate decisions regarding your educational and career goals.

$

Find ways to make your routines work better for you.

$

Document your neurodivergence without jumping through clinical hoops.

Who I Work With

I offer assessments for adults (18+) who are seeking clarity, confirmation, or documentation.
My practice is welcoming to folks with intersecting identities, including those navigating trauma, co-occurring conditions, or past experiences of being dismissed by providers.

My Approach

I use neurodiversity-affirming tools that focus on describing rather than judging. The assessments I use are selected for being collaborative, respectful, and non-pathologizing. My evaluation process involves reviewing your developmental and social history, having a structured conversation with you, incorporating self-report assessments, and then providing you with a detailed written report with my findings and recommendations.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, I’m trained and qualified to evaluate and diagnose Autism and ADHD in adults using DSM-5-TR criteria—but I’ll never reduce you to a list of symptoms.

What To Expect

The Assessment Process

Here is an overview of what the evaluation process will typically look like.

01

Reach Out

The first step is to fill out an interest form to get started. You’ll receive an email within a week with details on next steps.

02

Phone Call Consultation

During a free 20-minute phone call, we’ll talk about what you’re looking for, answer questions, and make sure this process fits your needs.

03

Pre-Session Paperwork

Before the first evaluation meeting, you’ll complete the intake forms and self-assessments in a secure client portal. We kindly ask that you have these completed at least one week before your appointment.

04

Interview Sessions

We’ll meet for 2–4 sessions (1–2 hours each). The exact length and number of sessions will depend on the assessments we’ll be working on. You’re welcome to bring snacks, fidgets, support people—whatever helps.

(Optional) If you’re open to it, I might send you home with some additional questionnaires that a friend, family member, or partner can fill out and return to me.

05

Analysis and Report

Once I’ve had a chance to review all the information,  I’ll write up everything in a thoughtful, thorough report: background, assessment findings, and—if appropriate—a diagnosis. It’s yours to use however you choose.

06

Feedback Session

About 3–4 weeks after we finish, we’ll review the results together. We’ll talk through any questions, next steps, and recommendations.
We can also discuss if you wish to have any future feedback or therapeutic sessions or a referral to another counseling practice.

Investment

Getting a diagnostic evaluation is a meaningful investment of time, energy, and resources for both of us. I truly value keeping the costs as reasonable as possible while ensuring the process remains thorough and accessible. To help with this, I use an equitable pricing model that balances both financial accessibility and sustainability.

I do not bill insurance for evaluations, which allows you to keep control of your results and how they’re shared. Nothing goes on your record unless you choose it.

Clients are asked to evaluate their access to financial resources and choose which payment rate is most feasible for them, using the definitions below as a guide.

Rate Options:

  • Equitable Rate: This rate is set above the standard rate for those who have access to greater financial resources, helping fund lower-cost evaluations for others.
  • Sustainable Rate: The standard rate that covers service costs and sustains my practice as a solo, neurodivergent, licensed mental health provider.
  • Accessible Rate: This is a reduced rate for those with limited access to financial resources, making evaluations more affordable through community-supported pricing.

For more on equitable pricing models, see Embracing an Equitable Sliding Scale by Britt Hawthorne or Rachel Boggan’s Equitable Pricing Model.

ADHD Diagnostic Evaluation
Equitable Rate: $850
Sustainable Rate: $700
Accessible Rate: $550
Autism Diagnostic Evaluation
Equitable Rate: $950
Sustainable Rate: $800
Accessible Rate: $650
Combined Evaluation
Equitable Rate: $1,100
Sustainable Rate: $950
Accessible Rate: $800

Evaluation rates reflect the careful and thorough nature of our assessment process. This includes the time dedicated to interview sessions, reviewing client history, analyzing and interpreting results, and preparing a detailed written report with personalized recommendations. Typically, the process can take between 6-10 hours for ADHD or Autism assessments and 10-12 hours for combined evaluations. This approach ensures a comprehensive evaluation that provides valuable insights and practical next steps for you.

Evaluation Limitations

My assessments do not include neuropsychological testing or IQ assessments.
If you’re looking for those or need a report from a psychologist, psychiatrist, or MD for specific legal or medical purposes, I’ll help connect you with someone who fits.

Accommodations & Documentation

Some government programs may require documentation from a doctoral-level provider (such as a psychologist, psychiatrist, MD, or nurse practitioner) when it comes to disability benefits or medication prescriptions.

If this is one of your goals, I recommend checking with the relevant institution before scheduling an evaluation with me.

While I’m unable to prescribe medication myself, I’d be happy to provide referrals to prescribers who specialize in working with neurodivergent clients.
